A workshop on wine defect identification and remediation associated with oxidation, volatile acidity, and sulfur-containing compounds. Several spiked wine samples and defect kits available for aroma (smell-only) identification.

All registrants will receive a Penn State Extension Enology Digital Defects Kit to use back at the winery for staff training.

Following Ms. Gardner’s presentation, Dr. Hemant Gohil will lead a tasting and discussion of NJ wines. You are encouraged to bring a sample of a problem wine for this discussion.
