New Jersey Agricultural Convention 2016

Lectures on Wine Grapes at the Ag Convention


This year, the NJ Agricultural Convention & Trade Show (hosted by the Vegetable Growers Association of New Jersey) was held on February 9, 10, and 11, 2016 at Harrah’s Resort Hotel Convention Center in Atlantic City, New Jersey. The three days were packed with lectures, workshops, and displays from agriculture extension and industry members. Rutgers Cooperative Extension (RCE) was well-represented, hosting dozens of lectures on topics such as: organic agriculture, technologies for marketing and promotion, direct marketing/agritourism, alternative production, alternative crops, farm safety, pesticide efficacy, integrated pest management (IPM), hydroponics/aeroponics, greenhouses, sweet corn, bees, strawberries, lettuce,  peppers, tomatoes, blueberries, basil, wine grapes, and more. Wine grapes sessions took place on day 1 of the convention and were well-attended by grape growers and wine industry members. See below for details.
